About Ski Art
Ski Art is a ski race club based at Ski Rossendale, whose’s focus is race training for juniors and adults of all ages. We are registered with Snowsport England and our members take part in regional fun races, club nationals and nationals on artifical outdoor and indoor snow slopes. To take part in the National Races the skiers are registered with Snowsport England and they are awarded seed points when they compete in a race. The number of seed points that the racer has is an indication of their national ranking.

When do we meet?
We train at Ski Rossendale on a Tuesday evening from 7.00pm to 9.00pm, where under the guidance of our coaches, the team practice a variety of skills and techniques.
What standard do I have to be?
You need to ski to a basic parallel standard and be committed to developing your skiing. Our coaches will help improve your skill, balance and technique so that you can progress to skiing through slalom poles. As you improve we will introduce you to racing. When you first start you will enter the local fun races, like Summer Race League at Rossendale and Stoke, and the Winter Race Leagues at Pendle and Sheffield. Once you become more skilled, confident and faster you could then enter Club Nationals and Grand Prix which are held around the country.
Does the club ski on snow as well?
Our skiing on ‘real snow’ often takes place at a social level, which ‘may’ include trips to european resorts. Some of our skiers are FIS (Federation Internationale de Ski) registered which enables then to take part in snow races which attract FIS points.
Who Coaches?
We have a team of highly qualified Coaches trained by the Home National Governing Bodies and other skiing nations.
